Ornithology in Falsterbo 2011-05-09
In the morning P-G Bentz, ecologist and nature photographer, will guide you in the Flommen Nature Reserve. It is a famous wetland area and in addition to the beautiful landscape we will see local breeding birds as well as migrants. The easy walk will take about two hours and if possible, please, bring binoculars. Your guide will bring a telescope.
In late afternoon it is time for "Wings over Falsterbo". P-G will give you an over-all view of many the qualities of the Falsterbo peninsula with focus on nature, wildlife, bird migration and Falsterbo Bird Observatory.
Dinner at Restaurant Rögeriet 2011-05-10
At Skanörs Haurbor, the most southwestern point in Skåne, two white chimneys are standing from Skanörs Fiskrögeri (Skanörs Fish smokery). This is a culinary landmark to visit if you want to experience the Scanian food traditions.
Here in Skanör we have been fishing, smoking and selling herring for over a 1000 years. Therefore it is no exaggeration that what we are doing is an tradition in our region.
